This year's Day of Action will be focusing on flood relief and disaster recovery. We will be assisting local food banks and disaster recovery efforts throughout West Tennessee.

Where: In communities throughout West Tennessee
When: June 21, 2010
Why: To assist those affected by the recent floods and economic conditions
How: 1) By donating food and supplies
2) Cleaning up homes and areas impacted by the flooding
Projects:
Are you doing local projects either through a County's Disaster Recovery Services, local church or agency or if you are helping a friend or neighbor; let us know. The recent floods left some with a large mess and many with out a home. Let us all work together to clean it all up.

Suggested Food Items Needed:
Canned Meat, pasta, spaghettios, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, tuna, rice, beans, chili, canned stew, canned soups, canned meals and jars of baby food
Suggested Disaster Recovery Items: (please only donate new items)
Five-gallon buckets, bug spray, cleaning supplies, his & her shaving cream, his and her razors, soap, shampoo, his and her deodorant, tooth brush, tooth paste, wash cloths, baby bottles, baby shampoo, Pampers, baby wipes, baby wash/soap, baby oil & lotion, coloring books & crayons
Please bring the items to a local food bank or the United Way office. PLEASE notify the United Way of your project or amount collected.
